Background
This project combines some of my favorite things in life: exploring different neighborhoods, photography, urban landscapes, and cats1. It started as a pandemic escapism at the end of 2022, helping me connect to my neighborhood after a long period of isolation. My spouse and I would soon learn that we lived near several cat colonies, and that most of its members were (and still are) incredibly photogenic. The project evolved to us helping (and documenting) our neighbors feed them, rescue them or TNR them — and it gave us our two own rescue cats, Morceguinho and Panterinha.
